Norwegian man missing in Cambodia

A Norwegian citizen is missing in Cambodia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed to TV 2.
“We are aware that a Norwegian citizen is missing in Cambodia. Out of consideration for confidentiality and privacy in cases of this kind, we cannot provide any further comment,” says press spokesperson Mariken Bruusgaard Harbitz of the ministry.
She explains that the ministry can assist Norwegian citizens abroad, among other things, by helping them get in touch with relatives or local authorities through the nearest Norwegian embassy or consulate.
It is not known where in the Southeast Asian country the Norwegian went missing.
TV 2 has tried to contact the police in Cambodia but has not yet received a response to its inquiry.
